Terms of Service
Plain-language terms for websites, hosting, domains, email and ad-hoc work through No Fuss Host. Last updated 30 August 2026.
Who this is
These terms are between you (the customer) and SGEnterprise Consulting Ltd, trading as No Fuss Host, Christchurch, New Zealand ([email protected], 021 630 844). By ordering a site, hosting, a domain, email, or any ad-hoc work, you agree to these terms.
What's covered
Four kinds of service, billed separately:
- Hosting — your website, built and hosted on No Fuss Host infrastructure.
- Domains — a domain name registered and managed on your behalf, or your own domain pointed at your site.
- Email — mailboxes on your domain.
- Ad-hoc services — one-off work outside your regular plan, quoted and invoiced separately.
Billing & payment
Ordering hosting through the website builds your site straight away, before any invoice is raised — you're not asked for payment details to get started. An invoice for your first billing period follows by email, typically within a day or two of ordering.
Invoices are issued through Xero. Recurring services (hosting, domains, email) are billed on the schedule agreed when you sign up — currently quarterly, in advance. Ad-hoc services are invoiced when the work is done or agreed.
Recurring invoices are paid by Direct Debit through GoCardless. Setting up a Direct Debit mandate is required for ongoing service — it's a condition of the recurring plans, not optional, because it's what lets billing run without you needing to action anything each cycle. If a payment fails, GoCardless will retry automatically; if it keeps failing, I'll be in touch before anything is switched off.
Late or repeatedly failed payments may result in your site or email being suspended until the account is brought current. I'll always try to reach you first.
If a site is built through an order that's never followed through on — no admin login ever set up, no response to follow-up contact — I may remove it without further notice, since nothing has been paid for it and no ongoing relationship exists yet. This doesn't apply once you've set up your admin login or paid an invoice.
Contract length & cancellation
- Hosting — month-to-month, no lock-in. Cancel any time; you're billed up to the end of the period already paid for.
- Domains — registered for a 12-month term, same as any registrar. If a domain was registered on your behalf and you cancel partway through, that term still needs paying out — I can't get that back from the registry.
- Email — tied to the same billing cycle as your hosting; cancels when hosting does, or independently if you ask.
- Ad-hoc services — one-off, no ongoing commitment beyond the agreed job.
To cancel anything, email [email protected]. I'll confirm the effective date in writing.
What you get, and what I don't promise
Your site is backed up daily and run on infrastructure I manage directly — full detail on how it's actually run. I don't sell a 99.9%-uptime SLA with lawyers attached. If something breaks, I fix it — usually within an hour, worst case same-day for anything short of a full infrastructure failure.
Your content
Everything you put on your site — text, photos, products, branding — stays yours. I host it; I don't claim any ownership over it. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload (photos, logos, copy). If you cancel, you can request an export of your content within 30 days before it's removed from the server.
Acceptable use
Don't use hosting or email for anything illegal, for sending spam, or in a way that puts other sites on the same infrastructure at risk (e.g. security exploits, excessive resource use). If that happens, I'll contact you first unless it's actively causing harm, in which case I may suspend the site immediately and explain afterwards.
Domains
Where a domain is registered on your behalf, it's registered in your name as the registrant — you own it, I just manage the renewal and billing. If you leave, the domain transfers to you or your new provider; I won't hold it hostage.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time — for material changes, I'll let you know by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that counts as accepting the update.
Liability
SGEnterprise Consulting Ltd isn't liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost business or lost profit) arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act that can't lawfully be excluded. If you're acquiring these services for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, to the extent the law allows contracting out of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
